I was thinking on how to start my first entry, then well, perhaps an introduction about myself and why would I want to have this blog.
My name is Tong Tong, I am a very typical singaporean who speaks/type Singlish most of the time. I have been working in a non-profit organisation for almost 2 years and I seriously love my job. Well, why do I have the idea of setting up a blog and name it as Corners Of Singapore? Firstly, as a Singaporean, I would always complain about getting bored in Singapore because it is the fact that there isn't much places to go. I have been staying in the North ever since I was born, and places like Punggol is an area which I used to say that I will never visit the place. After visiting, I realise that there are real lots of fun in Punggol. Places like Orchard is an area where you might need to spend a fair amount of $50 and above to enjoy. The main purpose of this blog is to share with the locals, or people who are interested to know more about Singapore other than places of interest, for instance, you want to have a fun and relaxation place but spending $50 and above is not the amount you would like to spend for relaxation, then perhaps this blog is able to help you with places that you can spend as less as $20?
Of course, this blog is also for my leisure as I would like to capture the corners of Singapore and show it to my friends or readers who are interested to know more about Singapore or to just know where are some of the places you can go and have simple relaxation or enjoyment. Well, please also pardon me for my bad usage in English. I hope in the near future, the photos I take will speak out much more better than me typing it down.
